Halosports final kit sale
Update: new reduced prices and extended sale date.
Halosports have informed the club that they have reverted to their original kit manufacturer, Velo+. Consequently, they are now having a clearance sale of the Alton CC kit manufactured by Texmarket, see items in the sale below. The sale will run from Friday 10 May to Sunday 23 June. All orders should be made direct to halosports@hotmail.co.uk and will have a £3.50 postage fee.
Given this decision, Alton CC will move to a single kit supplier, Bioracer, from the end of June.

New club kit supplier added
Following a unanimous vote at our club night at the French Horn on Thursday 28 March, we have added a new kit supplier, Bioracer. With a full range of kit from jerseys, jackets and shorts to accessories and race suits, Bioracer has a strong pedigree in supplying pro and national teams as well as many cycling clubs around the world. Owning their own European factories gives them an edge in being able to supply kit to us at a competitive price with a minimum order quantity of only 1 item. We will open 3 or 4 “order windows” per year to batch orders into meaningful quantities. Orders typically take 6 to 8 weeks to produce and are despatched to a central contact in the club for collection by members.
Our full club kit range can be seen here, (you will need to register for […]
Alton CC Awards Dinner 2024
Alton Cycling Club held their Annual Awards Dinner at Beech Village Hall on Friday 1st March.
We had a great turnout of club members and partners who enjoyed an excellent meal provided once again by Anne Moore from local company PlanB Catering. There was a good selection of drinks including great ales from our sponsor Triple fff Brewery. Many thanks to them!
Musical accompaniment for the evening was provided by ex-club member Kelvin Parker who definitely knows his way around the saxophone.
Club Chairman (Guy Henshaw) welcomed us to the event and thanked the
organising team, the Committee and our other sponsors Owens Cycles and Hi-Tech Heating.
Highlight of the evening was listening to an illustrated talk by one of our oldest (and most illustrious) club members Alan Jacob. Alan, who was born in 1936, chose to talk about his participation, and victory, in the 1963 London-Holyhead one-day elite road race. This 265 mile race, […]

Club Hill Climb Championships 24 Sep 2023
Our annual club hill climb competition has run on the Brightstone Lane course since 1996. However, it’s now time for a change and this year we will run the competition on the Brockham Hill course which starts in Holybourne.
We will hold the event slightly earlier in the season on 24th September to avoid the previous date clash with the new forest gridiron event. Event start time is 10:00.
We are operating this event as a CTT ‘club event’ and entry will be free for club members who enter using this form. Other clubs’ members are invited to the event and can enter online via the CTT website (entry fee £5). Entries close at 17:00 on 22nd September. By way of reminder, all entrants must wear a helmet and have a working front and rear bike light.
In addition to the Men’s and Women’s hill climb […]
Two of our annual rides in July
We have 2 of our annual special ride events coming up that we’d like to highlight (in case you’ve missed the WhatsApp messages – easily done!):
Our 100km audax this Sunday (9th July, 9am start)
https://www.altoncyclingclub.
We start at Beech Village Hall and ride out to Leckford on a picturesque circular route. This ride is being organised in memory of our good friend and club mate Jim Woods who tragically died in 2020 of a brain tumour. Any surplus money from this event will be donated to Brainstrust, the charity that provides help and resources to people with brain tumours.
Mike’s 100 miler (Sunday 16th July, 8am start)
Lovely route starting from the Butts, which has been an annual ACC tradition organised by Mike Hayward, with planned stops at Stockbridge (~25miles) and Wendy’s Community cafe in Great Bedwyn. Ruth is helping organise it this year, whilst Mike is recovering from heart […]
